Baltic Birch plywood is becoming very
popular with woodworkers because it is a hardwood that is mostly
free of voids, has few knots and has several more “plys” than
domestic plywood.
It is known for it's stability
and is excellent for use in cabinet construction as it holds
fasteners extremely well.
Baltic Birch is usually sold in 5' x 5' sheets and is imported from
Finland and Russia with the Finnish brand typically rated a higher
quality than it's Russian counterpart. A few typical uses of this
plywood are for: cabinets, drawer sides, displays, bookcases, desks,
furniture and table tops. |
